Welcome to South Lake Tahoe
Upscale lakefront living with spectacular beaches, wilderness, and nightlife
South Lake Tahoe represents the southern lakefront region of Lake Tahoe with the Stateline border between California and Nevada in the middle. This outdoor paradise is what draws residents to live here with the lake, rivers, forests, and mountains, truly nature’s playground. Those seeking big city amenities are not too far away from Reno (65-miles) and Sacramento (99-miles). A number of luxury homes line the clear turquoise water of Lake Tahoe or are nestled in the woods for quiet solitude. Styles of homes range from rustic log cabins to American Craftsman, Alpine chalets, contemporary, and mountain modern.
The south section of Lake Tahoe tends to be more family-friendly with more entertainment, nightlife, and activities than any other area. For those that want to live in the wilderness but have access to top restaurants and attractions, you have the best of both worlds. One of the biggest events of the year is the American Century Celebrity Championship Golf Tournament at Edgewood Golf Course. Over Memorial Weekend the Big Blue Music & Brews Festival is where great blues, beer, and food come together. During the summer, the best spot for listening to live music is at the outdoor concert venue of Harvey’s Summer Concert Series on the Stateline.
